She loved flowers, especially roses.  Pink was her favorite color when she was young and again when she died.  Her African violets were legendary in our family and hers were huge!  I remember a vacation to Lookout Mountain where she and my father had silhouettes cut out of themselves.  I remember them having been hung over my father’s dresser for years.
