Ideas for Religious LeadersThe most effective educational tools are those that are told from a personal perspective. You may know someone in your congregation who has lost a loved one who became a donor, a parishioner who received a life-saving organ or someone who is seeing, walking or living a better life because of tissue transplantation. You may even know someone who is on the waiting list or on dialysis who may soon be on the list. If not, WRTC has many volunteers who can tell their story to your group. What Can Congregations Do?WRTC often provides support to places of worship regarding organ and tissue donation. Whether congregations have a member who is waiting for a transplant, someone who died while waiting, a member who was a donor or a donor family member, or would just like to focus attention on the issue of organ and tissue donation, here are some ideas to help you get started:
