Be a Champion for Donation!
WRTC has worked with all of the local and national community partners listed below. If you would like your community supported organization to support and champion organ and tissue donation, call us to let us know about potential sponsorship opportunities!
Bowie Baysox
(Class AA Minor League Baseball Team Afilliate of the Baltimore Orioles located in PG County Maryland) We have partnered with the Bowie Baysox team by sponsoring group catered dinners for our volunteers, first-pitch opportunities, table displays and numerous marketing campaigns throughout the season. More than 15,000 fans have been reached by our efforts in the past two years.
NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo
NBC has invited WRTC to participate in this fantastic FREE expo open to the entire DC area community every year for the past 15 years. Each year we reach 10,000 visitors each day of this fantastic event!
Self Reliance Foundation
We have worked closely with the Self Reliance Foundation on several community programs in the DC metro area. The SLF works to connect people with the information they need to lead successful lives by using means that reflect their cultural needs and diversity, empowering individuals and communities to take the necessary actions that allow them healthier, more productive lives.
Concilio Metropolitano para la Salud Latina
WRTC is a proud member of this non-profit organization which consists of governmental, private and other non-profit organizations that serve the Hispanic community of the DC metro area.
DC United
Winners of more than 11 major domestic and international championships, our local major league soccer team has partnered with us for the past two years. Junior team captains who have been touched by the gift of life are invited on the field to walk out with the players at the opening of a selected "donate life" game. We have reached more than 25,000 fans with this community partner.
Rose Parade
WRTC is a founding sponsor of the Donate Life America float in the annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. In selected years, volunteers from WRTC have been able to participate as float riders or walkers. This event has more broadcast audience and numbers of media hits than the total of all local events!
Team Fat Kids
Team Fat Kids racing, a mountain bike gravity racing team from the East Cost partnered with WRTC by having donor drives at almost every race they participated in. (The bike tires they use are Fat Tires, hence the name.) They have been featured in 14 print articles, 12 or so web articles, 25 discussion boards and in one small webcast segment, all sporting their Team Fat Kids/WRTC/Donate Life bike jerseys.
