The festival, sponsored by the National Council of Negro Women, Inc., includes food, free concerts, arts and crafts, an international marketplace, health screenings and activities for kids. This multi-cultural, family focused festival attracts up to 250,000 people!

With a U.S.A. Track and Field- Sanctioned 8k and 2k Fun Run for all ages, this race offers something for everyone, from the marathoner in training to the weekend warrior, to those who are just starting out.
This event, hosted by the Susco Family, is held in memory of Tim Susco, who suffered a fatal cerebral aneurysm in 2007. The race is a celebration of his life as well as a way to raise awareness and funds for two wonderful causes- The Brain Aneurysm Foundation and Washington Regional Transplant Community.

Washington Regional Transplant Community invites you to attend a bereavement retreat for adults who have faced the loss of a loved on within the past three to eighteen months. WRTC welcomes Duane T. Bowers, LPC as our facilitator. The group will touch on the common and unique experiences of mourning following a death. Participants will be limited to 20 donor family members.
Registration/Breakfast starts at 8:30AM. There is no cost for the day, but registration is required. Continental breakfast, refreshment and lunch will be provided. Parking is free.

Memories are strongest during the holidays. The loss of a loved one is difficult at any time, but holiday rituals and traditions can make it a period of stress and depression. Washington Regional Transplant Community invites you to attend a gathering of learning and sharing. This event will be facilitated by Robin L. McMahon, Ph.D. Dr. McMahon specializes in providing services to clients related to life transitions, especially traumatic loss and grief. She has extensive experience as a private practitioner, consultant and professor. Dr. McMahon has authored numerous articles and bereavement booklets.
